Yes, you read that headline correctly: pink beach goodness. I know normally people seek out sandy white shores for their destination beach vacations, but I was born on the coast of Florida, so I can tell you that white sand is over-rated. If you really want a fabulous trip to the beach, pink sand is where it’s at.

Pink beaches are created from a mixture of the white calcium carbonate sand mixed with the bright red skeletons of pipe coral from under the sea. While laying out on a sandy bed made of dead sea creatures may not sound glamorous to you, I assure you the Instagrams alone would make visiting a pink beach worth it. They are scattered pretty much all over the world from Hawaii to Greece, but the five mentioned here come highly recommended. My suggestion is that you throw on a glittery bikini, saddle up your unicorn, and hunt down some pink sand immediately while this beautiful summer sticks around.
