Myth 1: Organic products only come in neutral colors instead of rich, bright colors, leaving there not much to choose from. This is absolutely untrue. The demand for organic beauty products has been on the rise, resulting in more great products on the market to try and fall in love with. Marina Cosmetics lipsticks, for instance, come in 10 shades and Afterglow has a wonderful selection of eyeshadows.

Myth 2: Natural or organic products aren’t as effective as synthetic products. I know this one is definitely a myth because I use natural liquid foundation that covers better than any other synthetic foundation I’ve used. Organic and natural products  often have the same or similar active ingredients as synthetic products. When looking for a natural or organic beauty product, look for ingredients like caffeine, peptides, hyaluronic acid and phytoactive ingredients. Some products to consider are: Juice Beauty’s Antioxidant Serum, Trilogy’s Age Proof Replenishing Night Cream, and the Exuberance Optimism Periwinkle and Aloe Uplifting Eye Gel.

Myth 3: Organic products always cost a fortune. Just like synthetic beauty products, there’s a range in the prices of natural, organic beauty items. If you’re new to organic and natural beauty products, it’s a good idea to try out some samples before you commit to any product. Some budget-friendly buys to try include; the multi-purpose Revolution Organics Beauty Balm $34, Logona mascara $14.50, Pangea Organics Egyptian Basil and Mint Hand and Body Lotion $16.
