Personalized Accessories are Totally Making a Comeback

Written by Bryce

You know how when something is really uncool it’s suddenly cool again? Like the way hipsters and gay guys have a way of flawlessly taking the bottom-of-the-bin stuff from the local thrift store and making it look so chic that you have to run out to a master tailor immediately to copy the $3 look? Well, that’s sort of what’s happening the the personalized necklaces that got really big in the late 90’s and early 2000’s a la Carrie Bradshaw. Honestly, if you had asked me 3 years ago if I ever wanted to see another “omgawd I like totally love NYC, Patricia Field, Magnolia Bakery, and Mahnoooolos” kind of girl again, I would’ve instantly vomited. But, somehow, now that the whole world is totally over that phase… I find myself liking it. And in good company, because these hot little personalized necklaces from Blue Nile are only $85 and have been spotted on Maria Menounos, Giuliana Rancic, and Catt Sandler in the past few weeks alone.

Adios, Carrie. Hello, girls with brains, good legs, and a sense of style.
