Lena Dunham and Leandra Medine of the wildly popular Man Repeller blog are arguably two of the most influential twenty-somethings out there today (especially since we haven’t heard from Lady Gaga in, like, a year). I’m just happy to see the fashion-blogger-world getting a very public shout-out from one of TV’s biggest millennial stars.
Leandra Medine created The Man Repeller in 2010, and has since garnered the title of one of Forbes’ “most influential trendsetters” in 2012, showing just how integral fashion blogging has become in modern culture. The blog is “a humorous site for serious fashion” and is all about liking what you wear, no matter how many men it may indeed repel.
Lena Dunham – especially when she’s playing Hannah Horvath in Girls – is the epitome of one who wears strictly what makes her happy at all costs (think neon mesh shirt with nothing underneath, and shorteralls). It’s only right that these two pop culture greats unite over another pop culture great: Instagram. (The above photo happened earlier today and just made my Saturday).
Gotta love that girl (Lena)…she’s a delightful nut! She throws the rules out the window, and it works. I love her for it. She made laugh out loud at the Met Gala…-Marie Vlasic theyearoflivingfabulously.com
