Growing up as a little gay boy in Florida, even though I was told I could be anything I wanted when I grew up, I feel like I missed out on a big opportunity to become a figure skater, since the closest thing we had to an ice-skating rink was the frozen cubes in my iced tea. The Boca Raton Resort & Club, a Waldorf Astoria Resort has solved that problem however, and opened The Pink Rink to kick off the holiday season.
Little Jewish girls with frizzy hair and little gay boys wearing too much hair product for their age can now experience ice skating in the most fabulous way possible on the 85’x40′ rink. Since nobody in Florida knows how to ice skate, the rink also offers group lessons and skating camps. As you are well aware, the cause of breast cancer now owns the color pink more completely than Mariah Carey owns Christmas, so a portion of all proceeds go to fight breast cancer.
