5 Must Visit Paris Cafés and Tea Salons

When you’re planning your trip to Paris, you’re probably wondering about the cafés.

Even after living in Paris for three years, I still find myself enchanted by a particular Parisian café; bold coffee, decent food, and a large, outdoor terrace to sightsee and people watch. Nevertheless, I equally appreciate a tea salon for an old-fashioned “fairy tale” tea time; fine china, aromatic teas, and a cute, cozy setting. Below are my five favorites for coffee and tea around the city:

Angelina – I don’t care how “touristy” this tea salon has become; it still remains to be one of my favorite places in the city for an escape from cold, groggy weather (and reality, period). The “antique” feel to the tea salon makes you feel like you’re in a movie — and their signature hot chocolate, L’Africain, tastes like a melted dark-chocolate bar. If I haven’t convinced you yet, maybe the fact that Coco Chanel used to stop into Angelina and order her chocolat chaud at 4pm every day will. Don’t like hot chocolate? Try one of their signature teas with macaroons.
