In Japan, Burger King has introduced a black cheeseburger.
If you are into artificial black buns, normally you only have to look so far as any video featuring Nicki Minaj. Japan has decided that it is no longer fair for Nicky to have carte blanche on black buns however, and has introduced a cheeseburger with both black buns, and black cheese.
Called the “Kuro Burger”, which surprisingly means “black burger” (that was sarcasm) the novelty item features buns and cheese made of bamboo charcoal, onion and garlic sauce made with squid ink, and beef patties made with black pepper.
To add an extra layer of ridiculousness on top, the burger is available in two versions: the black pearl (plain) or the black diamond (all the toppings).
I’m always ragging on Asia for doing crazy shit, and this is no exception. If I wanted to eat bread and cheese made with charcoal, I could just head out to the street in Harlem, and throw some on any of the random barbeque grills scattered about the sidewalk.
