The DUMBO Arts Festival is a free art event in Brooklyn, this weekend.
Are you in need of some culture? Are you tired of shelling out a bunch of money for boring events? Are you unafraid to weather the dangerous waters of the East River and travel to Brooklyn? If you answered yes to any of these questions, you should probably go to the DUMBO Arts Festival this weekend, in Brooklyn.
Here are a few reasons why:
It’s free. In case you have forgotten what that entails, it means you won’t wake up the next morning and drunkenly wonder where the receipt came from.
There are 400 artists. This means you are likely to find something you consider art.
There are 200,000 visitors every year, which means you might find the man of your dreams. Surprise! I guess he wasn’t that guy staring you down at 2 AM at a bar in meatpacking.
It runs the entire weekend, until either 9, or 6 pm. So if you plan to go to it Friday, but then decide you are too tired you still have two more chances to get your lazy ass up.
There are street performers and artists, but unlike the ones that constantly harass you with mariachi music at 9 AM on the train to work, these performers won’t be shoving a hat into your tits asking for lunch money.
