There is a baby bat hospital in Australia that specializes in the care of abandoned baby bats.
I know most people are afraid of bats, but I have always thought of them as cutesy flying kittens that suck blood, and enjoy a good aerial view.
Naturally, since Australia is basically an upside-down United States, they have a hospital in Atherton that specializes in abandoned baby bats. Bet you never thought you’d hear of a baby hot hospital, huh?
I know you are wondering who in their right mind would abandon such adorable creatures, but apparently there is a tick paralysis epidemic in the bat communities of Australia, and many fruit bat pups are left unable to care for themselves when they, or their mothers contract the disease.
The Tolga Bat Hospital nurses the pups back to health and then releases them back into the wild to return to their jobs splattering random caves with glow in the dark bat-shit.

The hospital also serves as a sanctuary for older, retired bats that have grown tired of the limelight and show business of local zoos.
If you thought bats were scary before, I bet these photos changed your mind. If nothing else, they are proof that anything is adorable as a baby. Except some actual babies. Yeesh.
