I’ve lived in New York City long enough to consider The Rockettes as much of a holiday institution around here as the tree in Rockefeller Plaza, latkes at all the good delis, and the hustle and bustle of cashmere-clad New Yorkers trying to get the cutest gifts for all their non-city counterparts. Ponds and I go way back to when I would go into my Mom’s bedroom and play with her makeup table and I always remember a huge jar of Ponds cold cream sitting there. I remember experimenting with red lipstick and my Mom gently removing all the lipstick from my face with Ponds and the smell of it….so wonderful, it will always remind my of her.
