Top 5 Eyeshadow Trends For Spring

Tis’ the season for Spring cleaning! Most of us will fall into old habits by ransacking our closets, scrubbing our floors, and throwing out the receipts that have taken up residence in our purses; neglecting to focus our attention on our makeup bags.  Your makeup collection needs cleansing, too! 2. Golden Years: Gold is the spring and summer trend that never dies. Too Faced has a few eyeshadow duos (half shadow, half highlighter) that are guaranteed to look great on sunkissed skin. For a softer look, try George & Weezie (Icy Gold and Bronze Pearl). For a bolder, brighter eye; try Rich Bitch (Teal & Gold). Pick them up at Sephora for $17.

3. In the Nude: Nude eyeshadow is the look I’ve adopted since ringing in the new year. A soft pink or flesh-colored matte shadow helps brighten up the eye without taking the focus off of your natural beauty. Try Too Faced Heaven & Teddy Bear (Cream Matte and Chocolate), $17.00. If springing for pricey eyeshadow isn’t your thing, try wet n wild’s Brulee single. For a mineral alternative, try out Young Blood‘s Ora. It’s definitely a splurge at $19, but any fan of mineral makeup knows that the extra bucks make all the difference.

4. It’s Easy Being Green: Green still got it goin’ on, with no chance of slowing. Don’t forget– you’ve got St. Patrick’s Day and Earth Day coming up, so now is as good time as ever to get in touch with your inner green goddess. They have one of the most expansive eyeshadow lines available, but this Spring you’ll want to try matte neon colors on for size (orange was big on the runway this year, and looks best on blondies with blue eyes).
