The Curling Iron: Reinvented

Written by Bryce

For the girl that needs effortlessly perfect hair.

My hair’s answer to summer’s hot, humid days has been simple: wash, deep condition, towel dry, a little dab of argan oil, and using a 1″ curling iron to redefine any rogue waves.  It’s simple, time-efficient, and give off that kind of I’m-effortlessly-chic that I wish I could pull together in other areas of my life.  The only problem with this style is, once you do it in the morning, it usually needs to be re-touched with that curling iron by 8 or 9 pm before heading out to dinner, drinks, or whatever else… unless you’re fortunate enough to have an Amika Tourmaline Clip-Free Curler.

This curler is like the Ferrari of curlers: superior handling (no clip, just like the pros), and precision results (bouncing curls that last all day).  How does it happen?  This curler is made with a solid tourmaline barrel that helps fight frizz with negative ions, and seals in style with infrared heat that penetrates each strand.  The curlers heat up in a jiffy: just 60 seconds from start to go.  At $229 for a triple barrel pro curler set, it isn’t cheap- but if you’re the type that craves seriously perfect waves, curls, and professional-level control this one’s for you.

…it’s easy enough for me to use, which means it’s klutz-friendly (so long as you’re wearing the heat-resistant glove that comes with the set).
