One of my favorite things to do while I am on vacation is walk around by myself. It is always a nice break from the constant slutting around with strangers and boozing it up with friends to have a nice, quiet sober time where you can soak in some of the sights and absorb some of the local culture. One such day I found myself wandering around The French Quarter of New Orleans along Decatur street and happened upon the French Market. The French Market is an outdoor bazaar-type market that sells everything from bags of spices to artisan crafted hand bags. The market was full of vibrant colors and friendly people and also hosted a slew of unique looking little outdoor cafes. If you find yourself sober at some point in New Orleans, the French Market is the perfect place to lose yourself in the sights and sounds of the city.
