It’s officially summer time which means it’s also time for summer treats! Even though I have trust issues with dairy, my favorite is always ice cream. Something nostalgic about my fat ass chasing down the ice cream truck last week really takes me back.
After talking to my German friend about ice cream, she asked me if I ever had Spaghetti Eis. Yep, it’s spaghetti ice cream.
As crazy as the Germans are, they aren’t silly enough to make ice cream really out of spaghetti. To make this fun summer treat is really easy AND tasty. Thanks Germany!
All Ingredients:
Noodles: Vanilla ice cream, gelato, or frozen yogurt (don’t use a premium ice cream or one that has more than 10% milkfat.) Use a ricer or Spaetzle Press to create the noodles.
Sauce: Strawberries- frozen or fresh
1 6oz. jar Smucker’s strawberry topping (optional-helps with flavor and color)
Cheese: White chocolate (I only grated 2 white chocolate chips on top of my sundae)
Meatballs: optional- cooled brownies rolled into 1 in. balls or use Ferrero Rocher hazelnut balls
