Balls-free

Written by Aliza

Seriously, why did anyone even invent the cotton ball? It’s the size of a fingernail, is made up of 99.9% air, and condenses to look like a rolled-up piece of pocket lint the second it gets any sort of moisture on it.  However, If you’re like me, you have a mound of these useless wads sitting in your garbage in your bathroom that resembles Derek Zoolander’s when he’s removing his black face paint. Tall, wasteful, obtrusive. Luckily, I was recently given Renée Rouleau Toning Cloths to try and I now have one less mess to worry about (next up: refrigerator mold).

Renee Rouleau - $10.50

These petite square cloths absorb 50% less toner so that more ends up on your skin and less is wasted after being soaked into a cotton ball. The cloths can be used for mostly any sort of makeup application as well, including makeup remover and nail polish remover. They’re sturdy and made of an economical, lint-free blend of fibers. In addition, the packaging of the toning cloths is 100% recycled paperboard, which means my eco footprint is now an adorable size smaller.
