In the ongoing beauty news game, I’m really excited about today’s October-spirited edition. Hold on to your girdles, there’s some goodness in here:
1. Dr. Perricone wants to slather your eyeballs in his Blue Plasma… and frankly, as Halloween-ish as that just sounded, you’ll be happy about the whole situation. This non-acidic and non-abrasive exfoliator for the eye area will change the way you look at sloughing off dead, dull skin cells. A little dab’ll do you, because it’s packed with salmon egg enzymes and plankton extracts to give the windows to your soul a glowing, radiant look. $65 at Sephora, here.
2. Speaking of eyes, you’ll need to get your makeup off before anything else. For years we’ve all been slathering oily cotton balls across our eyes to remove pesky eye makeup and questionably intense eyeliner, but, why? Simple Skincare had the genius idea of packing all the eye makeup removing goodness any girl could possibly ask for into a mini face wipe style pad. Basically, if you’re on the go, heading to the gym, or just low on cabinet space and patience, these will rock your universe. I use them every single day, just saying.
3. You can extend your warm weather nail wardrobe, you know. All those corals and pale pinks you thought you’d have to stash or toss can actually be used NOW. How can this be done gracefully you ask? Add some nail art with deeper, seasonal colors like this ultra deep wine shade nail polish pen by LAQA & Co. Here’s an idea. Give yourself 2 base coats of your fave pale color, add angled stripes with the deeper shade across 2-3 nails on each hand. Voila! Available here for $14, and appropriately named “Greedy Guts.”
4. Now you can smell like Tory Burch, and you can imagine how great she might smell on a crisp fall day on the Upper East Side, right? Her new self-titled perfume mixes notes of peony and tuberose, perfect for on-the-go gals and those in need of a versatile scent. I’m pretty sure this one will catch on and be one of those recognizable-in-a-crowd perfumes that’ll last for years. Available here, at Bloomingdales.
