I recently had a chance to catch up with one of my fave beauty bloggers in the world, Jeannine Morris, to talk about trends and must-haves. Aside from being just about the sweetest gal in town, she’s got her finger to the pulse when it comes to beauty.
TLS: What’s your number 1 favorite Spring beauty trend worth trying?
Jeannine: The matte, super pigmented lip. It’s super wearable and a great, easy way to make a statement with your makeup. From red to purple and even blue, bold lip colors were all over the runways but they were all matte. Two great brands that make nice matte lipsticks are Dolce & Gabbana and Revlon.
TLS: What’s the most important product to put away when the weather starts to warm up?
Jeannine: Put away your hot tools when the weather starts to warm up and embrace your natural texture. It’s a super, sexy look of confidence and there are tons of products that will help you manage it. Save yourself some damage.
TLS: Are there any particular colors that you’re obsessed with lately for eyes, lips, or cheeks?
Jeannine: Of course! I’m obsessed with wearing taupe on my eyes. I think it offers a universally flattering hint of glamour and the color looks a but different on everyone and in every light. I’ve been wearing nude on my lips as of late with a bit of clear gloss just in the center and think it’s so sophisticated.
