Beauty Spotting: Lash Lacquer

Written by Bryce

The only trick we know to super black, rich eyelashes.

Every now and then I get to the point where I’m just kind of 99% satisfied with my makeup routine… I feel confident in my skin, my eye liner, and my ever-changing lip gloss palette. That’s exactly when I realize it’s time to amp up the little, nitty-gritty details like my pores, or, you guessed it- my lashes. I’ve been loving the length of my lashes for a while, but for some reason they’re not the thick, rich black that I want them to be. I want them to be blacker than Elizabeth Taylors with the boldness of a camel’s eyelashes (for those of you unaware of camel eyes, they’re ridiculously beautiful).

The only product I’ve found to date to accomplish this is Hourglass’ Lash Lacquer. This velvety black liquid glides onto lashes like a paint rather than a mascara. It’s meant to be worn either over mascara for a dramatic effect, or solo for a more subtle “oh hey girl your lashes are really thick and dark” effect. It’s perfect for gals with mousey complexions that need a little pick-me-up, and awesome for girls that just love intensely alluring eyes. It’s easy enough to wash away at the end of the day, but sturdy enough to last through the day (or even a little cry) without rubbing off, flaking, or generally looking weird.
