Beauty Spotting: My Manic Monday (after Sunday Funday) Remedy Trio

Written by Ashley

This has been a ‘beautiful’ hangover.

Fall brings with it some beautiful things… Pumpkin Spice everything, comfy sweaters, a familiar butterfly feeling like it’s the first day of school, and a more pronounced presence of Sunday Funday.  Football, bros, brews, beers and bitches are in the forefront of each and every Sunday – more so than summertime based on my normally traveling on the weekends — leaving Sunday a day for being smooshed next to a stranger on a train/bus/plane. After this weekend of debauchery, I think I’ve formally perfected my streamlined manic Monday trio for keeping myself looking & feeling like a “normal” part of society.

Sprayology Life Detoxer: Waking up in the morning, immediately after brushing my teeth for as long as it takes to get the taste of beer, whiskey, pizza and/or chinese food, cigs and more beer out of my mouth, a couple of sprays of Sprayology’s Life Detoxer begins the path to recovery, continuing the neutralization of daily (and Sunday Funday) toxins in my bod. Bonus: Coming in plenty of life-distaster modes (like Bryce’s Fav StressEase , Daily Vitamin, and SleepEase to name a few), I’ve said ‘peace’ to pills when hangover nausea is obviously an issue. Yes to Tomatoes Acne Spot Stick: Obviously I fell asleep with my makeup on Sunday night while my skin is already freaking out from the change in seasons, resulting in the emergence of a colony of  bumps that are non-cute, to say the least.  The best thing about using this spot treatment, is my ability to not only put it on under my concealer without the fear of dryness, but the clear formula and rollerball applicator can be re-applied discretely throughout the day to continue the flow of good skin signals. Bonus: it’s one of the only acne products I’ve ever liked the scent of. +1,000 points for you, spot stick! [$9.99 yestocarrots.com]

L’Occitane Shea Butter Mini Hand Cream: After a long chilly day of bouncing from bar to bar on Sunday, I realized that my hands were exposed to the ‘elements’ all damn day. Between calling potential bar crawl participants, chillin’ HARD outdoors as much as possible while likely holding two drinks, and checking in on foursquare on the way to each location (in hopes of becoming mayor before anyone else – it actually worked at brunch. Boom!) the air gave my cuticles and hands a familiar dryness that comes with the fall chill.  Thankfully, this stuff was in my bag and prevented further damage from occuring, while giving me a non-greasy formula all day at the office to use. Bonus: it also smoothed random fly-aways in my hair due to my probably still being tipsy while I blow-dried on Monday morning. [$20 usa.loccitane.com]
