Beauty Spotting: Pan Am Themed Gorgeousness

Written by Bryce

Flyin’ high with gorgeous skin!

If you’ve been watching the Pan Am TV show with utter delight, join the ranks of millions of others. Seriously. We all have been. Actually, I’ve never paid attention to the show itself, but I’ve kept it on as ambient noise and beauty a bunch of times as I’ve done work on my laptop from the couch. And I can say one thing: the beauty is pretty simple and flawless. I like that.

Here are some easy peasy tricks to smooth, clean Pam Am-ready skin:

1. Every knee-length skirt requires smooth legs, ladies. It’s true. Ever see a gorgeous flight attendant with stubbly legs? Doubtful. They all know the smoothness is a necessary fact of life. We love Skintimate and Schick Quattro because they’re affordable, available just about everywhere, and actually get the job done. (In fact, if you’re actually getting on an airplane to go anywhere, packing the Quattro disposables is a brilliant idea).

2. Wei Ginko Leaf Face Pads. Flawless skin is the MOST important part of the Pan Am look, and that means pampering your face as often as possible. We love these face pads because they’re like an at home facial that’s simple enough to wear while watching an episode of Pan Am.

3. Casually bright eyes. One of the easiest ways to get a casually glam look is to line eyes with a color rather than a simple black, grey, or brown. We love these cream eyeshadows by Mehron. They’re easy to work with in a million different ways, and cheap enough to get in every color.

4. Your eyes need to excite you, not make you more tired looking. We’re obsessed with Korres’ Antiageing Concealer because the shades are perfect for so many skin tones, the formula is chemical-free (there’s no scary junk in there!), and it actually has age-preventing properties to keep you looking bright-eyed, youthful, and ready to fly anywhere.

5. Impeccable arches aren’t optional. Everyone knows that the perfect brow can take 10 years off your face, eliminate the need for lots of makeup, and generally give you a rested, beautiful look. That’s exactly why we can’t get enough of Anastasia’s eyebrow perfecting palette. It’s got everything you need to perfect your brows, a variety of shades to work with every skin tone, and is miraculously only $32.
