5 Things I Learned At A Blondie Concert

Written by corey

I saw Blondie in concert and my life changed.

It seems like I can’t really get over what I experienced last night. For one, I’m a huge Blondie fan. There’s something really awesome about Debbie Harry and everything she does. It’s great because my mom refers to her strictly as Debbie and always references her CBGB days.

1) I am quite the pushy person. I basically weaved through a whole crowd of people to get as close to Debbie as possible.

2) You only get better with age. At 68 years old, Debbie put on quite the show and sang 5 songs including “Heart of Glass”

3) I really hate people my own age. While surrounded by some people who understood what was happening, not everyone really got it. As for me, I screamed the entire concert and only moved from my spot to refill my whiskey diet.

4) There are people who know every word to “Heart of Glass” and then there are people who don’t love themselves.

5) When you walk out of a Blondie concert, you will be on this crazy high that no one will be able to understand unless they were there.

I also learned that Blondie is a huge fan of Ray-Ban. It seemed only fitting that a band that pushed boundaries performed the night Ray-Ban announced their latest collection that uses leather, denim, steel, titanium and velvet. It also featured a sick remix lounge that allowed me to get my customization on. I will never be the same.
