Boulders and Land Rovers

Written by Ashley

NYC is perfect for me…public transportation takes me wherever I need to go, and nobody is in direct danger due to my awful skills behind the wheel. I love the subway! I can pop on my ipod, do some thinkin, and the experience does not result in waking up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat after a ‘I crashed my Dad’s car into an Off-Duty Police officer…and I don’t even have my permit yet!‘ nightmare. ( true story, btw)

So this getaway may not be conventional- but I would LOVE to try it! The Land Rover Experience Driving School is an interesting and new way to get out of the city and enjoy the outdoors.

This no-bikinis-necessary getaway is offered throughout the U.S. at posh and luxurious locations such as Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC and Quail Lodge in Carmel, CA for those of you on the west-coast. In Post Office-esque fashion, the driving experience is offered year-round “through rain, sleet, hail and snow- and offers guests the opportunity to improve ( or learn!!) both on and off-road driving skills amid breathtaking natural landscapes.”

While most vacations involve grueling decisions regarding the flavor of your morning Daquiri… Vehicles are on the menu on this trip. While driving you are supervised by world-renowned driving instructors in some of the most secure vehicles ever made! …Range Rovers…Land Rovers….you choose! And of course, we had to ask about the environment, due to gas becoming as coveted as this seasons hot new Louis Vuitton. Tread Lightly!Ⓡ – A nonprofit organization committed to the safe, environmentally conscious use of off-road vehicles.

Strap on your driving shoes and get treading to the Land Rover Experience Driving School site… book now! Do it! The wilderness is much less stressful than driving through than Times Square- believe me.
