Celebrate Spring with Sweet Florals

Spring has finally sprung and we couldn’t be happier to break out all our fantastic florals. Since florals made a big comeback on the runways 2 seasons ago, we’re ecstatic to find that the resurgence has hit the beauty world, too.

Spring has finally sprung and we couldn’t be happier to break out all our fantastic florals.  Since florals made a big comeback on the runways 2 seasons ago, we’re ecstatic to find that the resurgence has hit the beauty world, too.  That means perfumes are back to smelling rosey and full of lavender, and hair products even have the faint scent of magnolia and orange blossom.  Whew, the beauty eco-system is back in whack!

For $18, you can treat yourself to a bouquet of sweet little flowers to frame your face.  Pull your hair back in a loose chignon, pop this headband in and your ready for work. Voila!

Since you’ll be decorating your hair with the cutest little flowers, you’ll need smooth, shiny tresses.  Lately I’m loving the ever-so-floral scent of Votre Vu Cheveux Heureux (pronounced “hero”), a rich conditioner that smells like a combination of orange blossoms and the Estee Lauder’s Youth Dew from the 1960’s.  Use it once and you’ll feel like you just bathed your head in springtime. $29 for 8.45 ounces.

And no sweet little headband-on-chignon look is complete without a slightly glossy, pink-tinted lips.  I love this $7 lip balm pot available at Sephora.  Brambleberry Rose Lip Balm smells and tastes a bit like pie, but definitely leaves you with the mild scent of summertime roses and just a hint of rosey-pink color.

  • Hi Bryce, thanks for the shout out on Vu’s hair care products. I’ve been going crazy trying to figure out the smell and had to laugh – I used to wear Youth Dew! Have you had a chance to try the leave in spray treatment?
