When it comes to beauty foundations, you can either choose caked on makeup or clean, hydrated skin. I obviously opt for the latter.
Lately I’ve been obsessed with Connie Britton’s timeless, sophisticated makeup– it’s clean, on point, and very mildly glam (and super easy for every complexion to achieve, seeing as I’m clearly not a redhead). But when you’re rocking makeup every single day, you need to make sure that you cleanse and exfoliate skin properly. Healthy, dewy skin is the REAL foundation for young, happy-looking skin.
It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of POND’S skincare (I mean, it’s been around more than 100 years– they obviously have a winning formula), but I always get asked “how exactly do you use a cold cream cleanser?” It’s pretty simple, and I made a short video in the kitchen of my office to show exactly how to use it to PLUS UP your beauty routine just as easily. I mean, if I can achieve dewy skin next to a microwave, I’m pretty sure anyone else can get it done ANYWHERE.
I leave a jar of POND’S Cold Cream Cleanser in my gym locker, too, for days when I have an extra minute to cleanse properly and my pores are already good and open from a cardio session. It’s actually made of 50% moisturizer, so your face is left totally hydrated and refreshed after using it. And, is if by magic, it dissolves even the most waterproof mascaras PLUS moisturizes for super radiant skin. The whole routine is so effortless, and the products boast real, clinically proven results.
I know a real cleansing is occasionally unrealistic, like if I’m already late to work or so incredibly tired I can’t be bothered to peel myself out from beneath my comforter to go wash my face properly. For this exact reason, I stash the POND’S Towelettes in my nightstand and purse (and I’ve been known to use them in emergency OMG-I-got-lunch-on-my-skirt encounters, but shhh). They remove makeup, sweat, grime, and whatever weird dirt faces might encounter during the day PLUS leave skin feeling moisturized (one and done, #amiright?).
In super fab news, there’s a nationwide newspaper coupon coming out for POND’S products on May 18, so make sure you get the paper, clip, and stock your beauty pantry.
This post was sponsored, but I really am obsessed with POND’S products, and you can tell by the video that cleaning with POND’S Cold Cream Cleanser is as routine for me as binging on frozen yogurt in a heat wave.
