Cut Couture

One of the perks of living somewhere fabulous like Manhattan – besides actually, well, living – is that you have the access to crème de la crème of many glam opportunities and services at your finger tips. Unfortunately, it’s also easy to over indulge on too much of a good thing and find yourself eating rice cakes and ramen until next month’s rent is paid. Alas, sacrifices may have to be made… unless you can find a compromise.

While the Luxury Spot is always seeking out ways to assist the spend-savvy fashionista, nothing quite rings in clear to a reader like the word: FREE.

Bumble & Bumble – don’t act like you don’t know who they are already – offers their instantly recognizable and photo-ready shags for FREE through their Bumble & Bumble University project. Located on W13th (between 9th and Washington), Model Calls are held for participants in this absolutely free program. Whether it’s an up-do, blow out, color, or cut; Bumble has a little something for everyone… and did I mention it’s free? And not only is it 100% absolutely FREE, Bumble allows their hair models to rack up “Hair Miles,” which earn you full-size products and gift certificates.

While you might be hesitant about putting your hair into the hands of a stylist in training, no worries, these stylists in training are already experienced – no slipper scissors here – and are just seeking the edge and advanced training that Bumble has to offer.

To register for a model call, visit: www.bbumodelproject.com

On the site you can check out some of the classes/cuts that will be offered… don’t worry, the stylist will be catering the cut to you, and not just mimicking the picture. Also, a variety of amazing (and normally extremely pricey) color services are available, as well as, a variety of styling techniques.
