Don’t worry if you’re low on time for a great Halloween costume. Our easy DIY Game of Thrones Halloween makeup tutorial will have you turning all the heads in your Medieval world.
What you’ll need:
- Cleansing wipes (we love these Simple Micellar Wipes)
- Your regular foundation
- Rose colored lipstick, nothing shimmery or too glossy
- Deep pink eyeshadow
- Gold eyeshadow
- Black or deep purple eyeliner
- Bushy faux lashes (these are kinda fun and affordable)
- A super pale blonde or white wig
There’s a good chance you have most of these fabulous Medieval face ingredients in your makeup kit already, so there’s no reason to rush out for anything other than that wig (if you already have one, kudos, you’re clearly the child of a wizard).
Step 1. Wipe everything off. Wipe your whole darn face and neck down because a clean palette is the only thing that’ll get your look to last all night.
Step 2. Apply your foundation lightly. Using a primer always helps the blending/adhering process, but if you don’t have one on hand, don’t worry. It’s Halloween and everyone is expecting you to have a ‘made up’ look anyway.
Step 3. Here’s where things are going to get wild. Cover the entire lid area with your pink eyeshadow. Go over the center of your lid with the gold shadow. Feel free to use a heavy hand here and then get progressively lighter as you shade to the inner corners of your eyes. Use a small amount of the pink shadow beneath your lower lashes as well. Don’t be shy, trace the entire perimeter of your eye.
Step 4. Get your lashes on, ladies! If you need a lash tutorial, we have one on YouTube, here.
Step 5. Line your entire upper lid, making sure you cover the line where your faux lashes meet your real ones.
Step 6. Lipstick! Smooch, smooch.
Step 7. Tie or pin your natural hair back and get your wig on. Follow by adding a metallic headband or collar-style necklace to the front of your forehead.
Additional options: cheek contouring, dark brow powder, terra cotta colored blush, and/or eyebrow arch highlighter.
Voila! You just completed the 10 minute or less Game of Thrones Halloween makeup challenge. You’ll live another fabulous day unless you run into a vampire or something.
