DIY Natural Hand Scrub

Written by emilyc

Consider this DIY hand scrub as spring cleaning for your hands. It’s time to shed any lingering dry skin remaining from wintry weather, and have a hand renaissance. The ingredients are all natural, and you probably already have all of them tucked away in your kitchen. Not only is this a healthy way to exfoliate, but it’s also a huge money saver that yields the same results as the most luxe skincare at the Bloomingdale’s beauty counter.

You’ll need:

1/4 cup of coarse sugar. Brown sugar or salt works, too, but the more coarse the sugar, the better the result.
2 Tablespoons of coconut oil
Add some argan oil, olive oil, jojoba oil, vitamin e oil or anything you feel benefits your skin most.

Mix all ingredients together in a small bowl until the coconut oil chunks have disappeared. It should be a creamy consistency. Scrub your hands with this for 2 minutes and rinse with lukewarm water (No soap!). Allow the remaining oils to stay on your hands and soak in. Pat your hands dry with a towel.

Any leftovers can stay covered in the fridge for a few days.
