Eco Fashion: Night Of The Living Dress

Written by Vivianne

The ultimate flower dress…

Fashion designer Mattijs van Bergen and landscape architect Anouk Vogel collaborated on a stunning piece currently shown at the Amsterdam Centre for Architecture (ARCAM) for its Fashion & Architecture exhibit. They created a “living dress” that’s as just young, fresh and vibrant as the green eyebrow-d lady who wears it. The garment is designed with wool and recycled bicycle inner tubes turned into vases that can be filled with water and cut flowers. It is meant to come to life in a different way every season, mirroring the cycles of fashion.

Depending on the type of flower used, the dress offers a myriad of different looks…

Even on its own, it’s quite a piece of art!
