Even Elephants Need to Hear Piano Music

Yes, this is for real.

Pianist Paul Barton wanted an especially fabulous way to celebrate his 50th birthday- and so he dragged a giant piano out to a nature preserve in Kanchanaburi, Thailand to play Beethoven for handicapped elephants. The elephants, as it seems, are old, injured, and impaired and don’t have regular access to the arts.
