Fashion Week Spotting: Street Style at the Hervé Show

Street Style NYFW 2013

I find Fashion Week to be especially exciting, mostly because the people-watching is thoroughly unbeatable. Earlier today at the Hervé Léger Fall 2013 show, I came to the realization that I was standing in the nucleus of the dissemination of fashion trends. Sure, the show itself was great (add fur hoods and black baseball caps to your list of Fall 2013 must-haves), but the street style was mega-inspiring.

The people striding chicly around the courtyard of Lincoln Center during Fashion Week are living proof that if you just wear what you love, think beyond trends and what’s “in”, and get creative, you’re going to look good – and be photographed by street-style photographers, but that’s whatever. Click through the slideshow to see what I’m talking about, and to get a glimpse of what the scene was like inside the extra-packed Hervé Léger Fall 2013 show.

With a major in international business and years of being surrounded by ill-fitting suits and all the wrong shoes, she learned that the importance of fashion needs to be communicated to the world. To her, fashion is on the same level as charity work and feeding hungry children. Emily can be found frolicking the streets of her gayborhood enjoying the off-color humor of the gays.
