Fashion Week Spotting: The Rebecca Minkoff Show

Written by Casey

A How-To guide to get your hair to flow like the models did at the Rebecca MInkoff show for SS13.

I think we can all agree that when it comes to hair, sometimes the au-natural, “Oh I just rolled out of bed and now am walking the runway” is the way to go. Now as well all know, you can’t actually roll out bed and go to a fashion show. It takes a lot of work to like there was no work put in at all. This past week at the Rebecca Minkoff show, decided the 1980’s feel of the collection called for a relaxed, chic style.

The models hair had a matte texture and sleek ends to create a style that was casual, yet glamorous. To complement Rebecca Minkoff’s Spring 2013 Collection, TRESemmé Stylist Jeanie Syfu created an undone, sophisticated style. To get your own relaxed look follow these steps:

How-To Steps:

  1. Start by applying TRESemmé 24 Hour Body Finishing Spray and TRESemmé 24 Hour Body Foaming Mousse throughout the hair and power dry with fingers for texture
  2. Smooth out ends with a Mason Pearson brush
  3. Take random sections of hair and using a 1” barrel curling iron, create curls through the mid-lengths, making sure to leave the ends out
  4. Use the flat iron to straighten ends and give the beachy texture a polished finish
  5. Spray lightly with TRESemmé Fresh Start Volumizing Dry Shampoo for a matte look
  6. Create a middle part with a comb and finish with a dime size amount of TRESemmé Smooth & Silky Anti-Frizz Secret Crème to fingertips, raking through the hair from roots to ends
