After  a few seasons of coloring my hair a shade or two darker, I decided it was time to return to my natural born color of light coppery auburn. I went to see a colorist who turned me into a cross between a tomato and a pineapple.  Although I am a risk taker where fashion is concerned, I trend towards the more traditional with my hair.  I was simply unaware that color correction is such a tricky process.  After speaking with a colleague, he assured me that he knew someone who could get me to take off my newly adorned fedora and switch my color back from Ronald McDonald red to something less clownish.  I arrived at the salon and met with Miss Pepper Pastor on 223 Front Street in the South Street Seaport.  Within minutes, the salon made me feel welcome and at ease that this week and a half long fiasco, complete with hat head, would finally be left behind. Ladies and Gentleman, Pepper Pastor did not disappoint.  She returned my hair back to spun copper, and made me feel like I was ready to conquer the world.  She also made me laugh and told me about a fantastic organic coffee shop across the street (Jack’s). I had forgotten how amazing a cappucino tastes when you have good hair.  Thank you Pepper, my tresses are forever in your exceptionally talented hands.
