Five scenic routes and beautiful roads to see from around the world.
Trollstigen, Norway
One of the things I miss most about living in the South is driving. I remember how nice it was to be cruising along on a gorgeous bridge and look up to see the sunset in front of me, and open road behind me. Now, when I look up in a cab I see a smelly foreign man in front of me, and the friends I ditched at the bar, behind.
If you live anywhere other than New York and drive regularly, you should never take for granted the scenery around you, or the cathartic process of driving, itself. These are some of the most beautiful drives in the world, so if you ever get a chance to take one of these roads less traveled, fucking do it. Your Instagram will thank you later.
