Jordan is an Arab kingdom in the Middle East, on the banks of the River Jordan (they took some creative liberty with the name, obviously). In antiquity it was home to several ancient kingdoms like Edom, Moab, and Ammon. Nowadays it is a little-known tourist destination offering everything from historical and cultural sites to modern recreation (i.e. a healthy nightlife), and even eco-tourist reserves. I was recently hanging out with a super-hot Australian guy (this foreign thing is a theme, apparently), and he was kind enough to give me access to the photos he took. I may have had to do some things for them that would be deemed illegal in places like Jordan, but that just cements how much I care about my readers. Here are five things to see and do in Jordan.
Stay at a hotel that overlooks the dead sea. The Kempinski Hotel Ishtar is a good example, because it offers modern convenience and luxury in the middle of a frickin desert. The hot Australian snapped a photo of the infinity pool below. Can you imagine a more beautiful sunset?
Take a mud bath. The Kempinski offers mud baths as part of your hotel package. If you are going to venture to the Dead Sea, you might as well rub part of it on your body.
Ride a camel. You can’t possibly venture to the Middle East without riding a camel at some point. That would be like visiting New York City, and not cursing out a cab driver for nearly rear-ending someone with New Jersey plates.
Soak in some culture. We have written about the ancient rose red city of Petra before, but it excites me to have my own photos of it. There are plenty of tour companies that offer trips to the rose city, so you have no excuse.
Experience some architecture. Anytime you are visiting a place that was around before Jesus, you know that whoever built it knew what they were doing. One example is the Citadel in Amman, featured in the photo. If nothing else, walking somewhere that people have walked for thousands of years should inspire you.
I know people say that the Middle East is dangerous, but if you are going to visit just make sure you read up on how to stay safe. I know people say its too hot, but nowadays there are all kinds of personal cooling systems out there, such as my personal favorite, ColdFront (also good for puffy under-eye bags, obviously).
So the moral of the story is that Jordan has now been officially added to the list of places I want to visit, right after I visit Australia again.
And again. And again. Yes, I am talking about sex.

We love your story and love even more that coldfront® – our personal cooling system – is a personal favorite of yours! Thank you, Gary 🙂
