I don’t know about you, but whenever I’m on my yacht I want to know what’s hanging out below me. Whether I’m tanning off the coast of St. Barths or chartering a quick bachelorette party for one of my best girls, I always feel at home at sea. Maybe it’s my New Jersey roots and the fact that I feel most comfortable with sand between my toes, but I love the water. Do you know what I love more than being on the water? Flying through the water.
With the newest DeepFlight Super Falcon personal submarine, I’ll be able to fly under the water with a good bottle of bubbly and a man by my side. Could you image that as a first date? Flying through the water with a millionaire, looking at some of the world’s most exotic fish and getting the first-class treatment where no one else has gotten one.
Not just anyone will be able to afford the $1.7 million personal water craft. But guess who has? Richard Branson has already picked one up, because duh. Here’s what we mean by flying through the water: the lightweat pressure hull is designed around the pilot, giving you a totally different experience in the deep blue sea. Don’t worry about getting stuck either. If the power goes out, the craft will just float right back up to water. I have to admit, a near death experience could really get my hormones going, resulting in a super hot “we’re alive!” love session.
Do you want one? Each one takes a year to build and so far only three people have picked one up. There’s also plans that this could potentially be used for underwater tourism or even commercial transportation. We doubt anyone will be swiping their Metrocard for a quick submarine down to the Florida Keys, but here’s to hoping!
