Fried Kool-Aid is apparently fabulous

Written by Steph

San Diegans consume 150 pounds of Kool-Aid powder and 1,500 pounds of flour in one weekend.

The San Diego County Fair has welcomed a new deep-fried delicacy to their roster  – Kool-Aid balls. According to “Chicken” Charlie Boghosian, the visionary behind said fair-fare, 9,000 fried Kool-Aid balls were consumed opening weekend.

Fried Kool-Aid is made of Kool-Aid and flour, which are the two most important food groups. Fair attendees are going wild over the bite-sized heart attacks. “It starts off tart and tangy, and then finishes really sweet… I love this stuff,” said Seth Baldwin of Vista.

I don’t know about you guys, but this recipe sounds like it was concocted by a kid who needs more attention from his parents. I’m pretty sure looking at one takes five years off of your life.
