A hotel in Tokyo hopes to capitalize on the iconic monster with a Godzilla themed hotel.
If there is one place in the entire world where something as tacky as a Godzilla-themed hotel could actually succeed, it’s Tokyo.
Located at the top of Toho Cinema, the hotel’s actual name is Hotel Gracery. It features Godzilla-themed rooms with hanging claws, classic movie posters, and custom Godzilla toilets. To add insult to injury, there is a huge Godzilla statue poking out of the top of the building. The idea behind this is to attract tourists for the 2020 Olympics, but given how shitty the new remake movie was, it might actually scare them off.
It’ll run you around $400 bucks a night to stay in this monster-reptile themed love shack, but that’s not bad if you make your living of creating an interesting Instagram page or quirky Snapchat collection. Just think about the possibilities.
