Going to a Baby Shower?

Written by Bryce

Maybe it’s just me, but about 5 of my friends recently announced that they’re pregnant.  There must be something in the air… and I’m guessing it has has something to do with the recent cold, cuddly nights at home due to fall weather and recessionary budgets.

So what to get for the baby showers?  Well, since my son is only 1 year old, I can wholeheartedly say what’s good and what’s not.  There’s really just no reason for a million stuffed animals or teething rings.  Truth be told, babies chew on everything (they’re similar to goats like that), and until they’re about 9 months old stuffed animals won’t even be noticed.  The best items that new moms REALLY need are the essentials like diapers (in size 2 and 3 rather than newborn size), warm nightrobes, burp cloths, and bath time goodies.

As far as bath time goes, my fave gift set is by Epicuren, and it’s just about the cutest thing you’ll ever see.  The set features melt-your-heart images by award-winning photographer Anne Geddes, and comes complete with baby wash, lotion, and diaper spray.  The products are all natural, and several of the ingredients are organic.  Perfect for sensitive baby tushes, and new moms will love how cute the set is!  A year later, the baby wash is still my favorite for my own little guy:)

I found the whole gift set for $44 at Amazon.com
