Two things we learned from a recent study published in the journal Cancer Epidemiology might make you feel much better about your receding hair line.
1) Baldness is a result of high levels of the male hormone testosterone:
“Baldness is caused when hair follicles become exposed to too much dihydrotestosterone (DHT). This is a chemical produced by the male hormone testosterone.”
2) Men who start going bald before 30 appear to be less likely to develop prostate cancer.
“Among 2,000 subjects aged between 40 and 47, men who had started to develop bald spots on the top of their heads as well as receding hairlines had a 29% to 45% reduction in the risk of prostate cancer.”
So bald men = more masculine and more healthy? Makes up for the loss in aesthetics, right?

My husband is going to love this
He likes to joke that G-d only made so many perfect heads and the rest he covered with hair.
Nah, not buying it, a lot of bald guys just look sickly.
