Nina Dobrev showed off possibly the most gorgeous blue dress and braid combo ever at the 2014 Teen Choice Awards. Stylist Riawna Capri calls her hair look “The Red Carpet Rope Braid. “ Riawna used the KMS California FREESHAPE 2-in-1 styling and finishing spray before curling the hair with a 1-inch curling iron in big sections vertically to make a messy beach wave. Then Capri flipped over Dobrev’s hair and sprayed the KMS HAIRPLAY playable texture liberally to saturate the hair and create a disheveled texture.

To construct the unique rope braid, Riawna separated the hair into three sections, twisted them clockwise and then took those twisted sections and braided them counter clockwise to showcase distinct texture. Capri then spread out the braid and pulled out some loose pieces to frame Dobrev’s face and give an effortless look, sprayed her final masterpiece with the KMS California HAIRSTAY medium hold hairspray to keep the it in place.
