High Line Park

Written by Linda

If you haven’t checked it out yet you should definitely see the High Line Park while the weather is still nice.  Opened in July, the park is located three stories above street level in the meat packing district.

The High Line was, until the 80s, a rail line.  The tracks are still there!

But now the rails share the space with the plant life, and foliage that now make their home up above 10th avenue.

The High Line is open from 7am to 10pm daily, but it can be crowded on a beautiful weekend afternoon.  Try checking it out at an off time,  or you could enjoy some people watching too.
