A hyperloop train system would make it possible to go from San Francisco to Los Angeles in just 35 minutes.
Pretty much every New Yorker’s dream is to spend their summers in New York, and their winters in LA. I have heard this idea mentioned many times over the years, but I have never actually met anyone who has accomplished it. Traveling easily between the two cities may actually become a reality though, thanks to the Hyperloop train, a transportation concept that involves shooting people through pressurized tubes, at super high speeds. Trips from New York to LA via hyperloop train could theoretically take less than 3.5 hours.
Remember back in the day when you went through the drive through at the bank, and sent your vital documents through pneumatic tube systems? This is basically the same thing, but with people.

The concept, by Elon Musk, is to create capsules that hold 6-8 people, leave every 30 seconds, and shoot people across the country at up to 800 mph using cushions of air and magnets to transport the human cargo. The technology would make it possible to get from San Francisco to LA in 35 minutes, and take hours off the commute between San Francisco and LA.
If you ask me, it’s about time we started working on this. The Hyperloop puts us one step closer to teleportation, and it is slated to be available within 10 years, so it’ll probably get done before the 2nd Ave subway line.
