I Got Your Goose, Chelsea

It’s funny.  I watch Chelsea Handler’s night show all the time… I love it, and lately I’ve been seeing LuxSpot articles mentioned pretty frequently on her show (although Chelsea, girl, you keep forgetting to credit us even though our circles totally overlap).  On Friday when I got a call from her office, I suddenly got nervous.  Not because I thought she was calling to announce that she’d be using all that day’s material, but because I recently got a giant gift basket from Grey Goose.  And I was pretty sure that Chelsea’s office was calling to say “Hey, bitch, that Goose is ours… they sent it to you by mistake.”  As it turns out, Chelsea’s office was just calling to chat about my upcoming date with Chuy at the Sundance Film Festival next week in Utah (this is entirely true, and I’ll post pictures next week to prove my love affair with that little Mexican bombshell of a man).  Thank goodness, because we all know how much Chels loves her G.G., and the sad truth is that the giant gift basket of high-end booze was finished off within a matter of days. #itwastheholidays #wehadofficelunchestoenhance

I can see why Chelsea is such a freak for the Goose, though.  It’s smooth, goes down easy, livens up even the most mundane 2pm work meeting, and helps Ashley’s general productivity.  And from random experience, I’ve learned that the bottles look delightful with a single long-stem yellow rose poking out on your desk.  Just saying, it’s like shabby-drunken-chic.

My fave cocktails lately have been with Grey Goose Poire, the pear flavored vodka that’s fragrant, a little sweet, and very smooth.

Grey Goose La Poire Ginger Joy

• 2 parts Grey Goose La Poire Vodka
• 1/2 part premium ginger liqueur
• 1 part simple syrup
• 1 part fresh lemon juice

Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously and strain into a martini glass. Present with a pear slice or crystallized ginger.  Wear something slutty, you’ll feel sexy drinking this one.
