Natural Ways To Beat Jet Lag

Written by corey

If you’re feeling jet lagged, try these tips for a natural cure to beat jet lag.

Set The Time!

If you’re about to board a long flight, set your watch to the local time. This will help get you in the groove before you even land. If it’s bedtime, try heading to sleep. If it’s the middle of the day, do your best to stay as wake as close to a normal bedtime as possible. This way, when you land, you’ll already be on the right track.

Drink Water!

While I totally love getting drunk on a plane and going through customs a bit tipsy, it’s not the best idea in terms of jet lag. For one, your body starts to become dehydrated at 35,000 feet and caffeine and/or booze only let more water out of your body. It’s suggested an 8 oz. of water for each hour you’re in the air to keep your body in check.

Exercise

It’s vital to keep your body moving when you travel. Studies show that getting outside to exercise could help get your body back on track when you arrive. Once you check into your hotel, go for a nice power walk around the area. It’s a great way to get your energy up and explore some new areas!
