A Russian railway company is proposing a superhighway from New York to London.

I have been on my share of road trips, so I know that they can be a mixed bag. Road trips are awesome because of the wind in your hair, the music on the radio, and the potential to be in charge of your own destiny. Road trips suck because of boring passengers, kids whose bladders are smaller than a whiskey thimble, and inclement weather. Still, over 90 million Americans take road trips each year, so it’s not like they are going away any time soon.
A man named Vladimir Yakunin (head of Russian Railways) has a plan to create the ultimate road trip highway, by proposing a superhighway that allows transport from Nome, Alaska to Russia, through the Bering Strait, and on to Moscow and London.
The project is called the Trans-Eurasian Belt Development (or TEPR, if you, like me, totes abbreve everything). The drive from London to Alaska would be around 8,064 miles, and the total distance to travel from New York to London would be 12,910 miles.

The only kink with the plan is travel across the Bering Strait, which could involve anything from a bridge, to a tunnel, to a helicopter ride. Details have not been released.
So, what say you? Would you take the ultimate road trip all the way from New York to London? Personally, I would. That kind of road trip is the stuff bucket lists are made of.
