Man’s Best Friend: An Argentinian Ferret-Dog on Steroids?

If you have always wanted a toy poodle but have never had the scratch to shell out $1,000 bones, then I have good news for you. La Salada, the largest bazaar in Argentina sells white ferrets so pumped up on steroids that they resemble poodles. Your blind Aunt Cragatha is going to be totally fooled.

At only $150, the ferret-dogs are a steal. They are fed steroids since birth and groomed specifically to look like poodles. Many a frugal buyer has been duped by this trick, and most don’t find out they have been tricked until they take their new “poodle” to the vet. I don’t really understand how this scam could really work since ferrets look like rodents no matter how big they are, but I guess if you want a dog bad enough you could suspend your mental access to reality. I would start to question things however, when your new “poodle” craps in a litter box and then sprays your bitchy neighbor with ferret-scent.
Come to think of it, you might actually like a ferret-dog better than a poodle. They come potty-trained.
