When two celebrities’ kids come together to start an indie-rock band from their campus at Brown University our privilege radar goes up.
Here’s the story: Demi Moore and Bruce Willis‘ daughter Scout Willis and Rolling Stone founder Jann Wenner’s youngest son, Gus, recently started a band called Gus + Scout.
I have to admit they have a very Patti Smith/Robert Mappletorpe, Sid/Nancy, Courtney Love/Kurt Cobain style, and it kind of works for them. Listening to their music it makes me want to head west through desert with a bottle of whiskey and fall drunkenly in love. Willis provides loud forceful high notes to Gus’ calming Bob-Dylan esque guitar playing.
