Music Spotting: May Day

May Day Music

I do realize that this title holds extreme political irony but OMG it’s May you guys! Disregard the rain showers if you live in NYC. That means we are one month away from summer! I already did a warm weather playlist two weeks ago about how excited I am that I can finally start hanging out outside, but this one has a more political feel.

Inspired by yesterday’s student protests, these songs are about coming together and speaking up for what you believe in.

So come together. Right now. Over these songs.

Come Together – The Beatles

Sing This All Together – The Rolling Stones

Come Again – Billy Nicholls

Trust – The Pretty Things

Child is the Father of the Man – The Beach Boys

Singing A Song in the Morning – Kevin Ayers

A Change is Gonna Come – Sam Cooke

I Shall Be Released – Joni Mitchell, Mama Cass, & Mary Travers

Another Brick in the Wall – Pink Floyd

Blowing in the Wind – Joan Baez
