Natural summer makeup is easy peasy!
Heat overwhelms me when it comes to my makeup scene. Hot weather calls for natural summer makeup in my book, to avoid that weird melty face that we’ve all seen so often on overdone gals around town. If you’re taking good care of your skin each day, you shouldn’t need too much anyway. Here’s what I’m loving today (especially since I just had a 2 mile walk through the concrete jungle of Manhattan in what was a never-ending taxi search):
Basically, all I wanted was a 30 second makeup application of a light pressed blush and a super hydrating lipgloss. I tried Ramy’s blush for the first time (I was excited to try a soft, powdery pink because it goes with most variations of olive skin tones) and loved the soft texture. The powder was easily collected by my brush and evenly distributed on my skin. Easy, peasy.
I followed with Origins new Drink Up Hydrating Lip Balm. I’d tell you where to buy it, but it’s so new and jazzy that it won’t even hit stores till August. It’ll be available in 8 sheer, drenched shades to keep your pout super smooth. Frankly, it’ll be the perfect early-Fall gloss… just a hint of color with a ton of moisture. And we all know how much I love Origins.
What mascara would you recommend during the summer that won’t melt off leaving me looking like a raccoon and isn’t so waterproof that it requires a chisel to remove?
Totally love Cover Girl’s clump crusher in the green tube!
