Now Your Makeup Can Really Glow

Written by Karina

Before Ke$ha and Nicki Minaj each sported the glo-worm look, we had to test the crusty tubes of mystery gels at Duane Reade every Halloween. But now, you don’t have to worry about waking up with perma-clown face the day after a holiday rave. Presenting, real Glow-in-the-Dark makeup!

It used to be that glow in the dark makeup was limited to the curious tubes of mysterious crust available in Duane Reade every Halloween. But that was before Ke$ha and Nicki Minaj each sported the glo-worm look and stamped it with their brand of freak-chic fashion. Maybe we can credit them with bringing the trend mainstream, because now, you don’t have to worry about waking up with perma-clown face the day after a holiday rave.

Make Up For Ever introduced a fluo night black light pigment this week, a transparent powder for the face, body and even hair. It’s invisible under regular light to the plain eye, so you can wear your freak face all day long without a single person knowing. Unless, that is, your office has black lights instead of fluorescent, and in that case, you probably already do crazier things than wear day-glo makeup. More power.

The powder can be added to or blended with gels, creams or powders for coloring effects. It’s available at Sephora, but for a limited time. It might not change your life, but it’s sure good enough to be a costume-changer. Mad Glow-in-the-Dark Men? Lady Glo-Glo? Brightmare on Elm Street?

Glow crazy, babes.
